Winner!

Without watching the video, you may deduce that it is one of two people because:

1) I was wrong and not many people do have an end-of-the-world novel deep down inside of them.
2) People are offended by poo-shaped chocolate.
3) Candice's entry was so brilliant that only the very brave (Jessica) ventured to compete. (And btw, Jessica, your prose was beautiful and your ending so depressing. Loved it.)
4) Oops, I guess I just gave away the winner with #3.

  1. LOL Okay, I can't stop laughing. I love the: IT'S CHOCOLATE POO! line. That was funny. Okay, one, you are adorable (man, why do you make it so hard for me to plot your demise?) and two, I was coming back to check on when the contest ended and realized it already did. Boo for me. Well, just imagine an awesome fight between you and me and smoke and ash and fire and me, of course, coming off victorious. :) But, Candi's entry was very intimidating. And awesome. And deserved the award. Congrats on the win, Candi. You get....CHOCOLATE POO! :)

  2. Oh, it was Candice's entry. Who cares if the chocolate looks like poo? It still tastes like chocolate. Your vlog was great.

  3. I guess I really need to pay more attention to detail, like the deadline date. Congrats to Candice. She put us all to shame.

  4. Oh my gosh, I am laughing so hard right now. "It's chocolate poo!!" I love it! Yay! *victory dance* I thought for sure I was going to be disqualified because I so didn't follow the rules and Jessica's was way more worthy. (Jessica, so brillaint. Loved the writing!)

Well this just proves that if there is anything that can be won by ridiculous, procrastinating, responsibility-avoidant behavior that also involves chocolate and poo, I am your gal!

    Thanks!

  5. Shannon-And here we all thought you thought Candice was Kasie, but you can call me Kasie, too, because even though she is my enemy, I want to be her.

  7. I love getting the chance to "see" people I only have a thumbnail-sized impression of! :)

I did mean to come back, but then the throwing up in the house commenced and the dryer broke and it's been bedlam here. Which may actually be what the end of the world is going to look like for me. :)

Congrats to Candice and Jessica for being brave... and so creative!

  9. Woohoo for Candice! :-) I agree, her entry was definitely brilliant. Thanks for your sweet comments about my prose, but this is a good lesson that story trumps all. *grin*

I hope Candice lets us know how that poo tastes. Heeeheee.

Jessie, you look so young and pretty! Wow. It's weird seeing people as opposed to reading them. And your son is ADORABLE!!!

  10. Maria-Yea Candice! And yes my son is pretty darn cute, except for when he is not.

Heidi-I know, it's true. I like vlogs because I feel I get to know my blog friends better. It's bedlam here today. Wait, that's every day. And yet I continue to escape into my end-of-the-world novel. Makes sense, right?

Natalie-Thanks! She'll have to let me know what it tastes like because while I've had Chips fudge, I've never had it in poo form.

Jessica-My runner-up! Well, there were only two entries, but I'm convinced you would have been runner-up had I a zillion entries.
